Terms of Service

By creating an account or using PolySubs, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

PolySubs translates subtitle files and YouTube captions between languages. The service is provided on a subscription basis with credit-based usage limits described on the pricing page.

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account and for any content you submit.

Paid plans are billed through Polar.sh, our payment processor. Your subscription, plan, and credit balance are tied to your workspace. Credits are consumed based on translated subtitle minutes multiplied by the number of target languages, as described on the pricing page.

Trials are available for validating the workflow and are not a checkout target. You may cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period.

Translation requests are processed by third-party model providers, including the OpenAI API (GPT models) and OpenRouter. By submitting content for translation, you acknowledge that this content is sent to those providers and may be retained or processed according to their own policies.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to submit any content you translate and for complying with the terms of those third-party providers.

You may not use PolySubs to translate content that is unlawful, infringes the rights of others, or violates the acceptable-use policies of our underlying providers. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

You retain ownership of the content you submit and the translations you produce. By using the service, you grant us the limited rights necessary to operate the service (such as processing your content through the translation pipeline).

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Translation quality depends on the underlying AI models and is not guaranteed. To the maximum extent permitted by law, PolySubs is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service.

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these terms or for extended inactivity, with reasonable notice where practical.
